An Imaginary Voyage

hen I was sipping a cup of tea and treating myself to a slice of Coconut cake, I slipped into an imaginary voyage back in time.

When my girls were little they attended the sweetest British School called The Kellet School in Hong Kong.

Every afternoon I would have tea waiting for them when they returned from school.

My teacup is from Anthropologie

It makes me smile just remembering.  What imaginary voyage do you take when you sip a cup of tea?

Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage is hosting Tea Time Tuesday, so I think I will join in the tea inspiration.

All I can think about is that beautiful cake. Okay, moving my thoughts on to the beautiful tea cup. And then the beautiful words only I've already forgotten them. Must go back and reread.

Oh it was all about imaginary journeys taken while sipping tea. Would you believe that I often think of returning to the lake again? I do. I've taken no long journeys to exotic places, though I'd enjoy visiting Ireland, Wales, England, and Scotland if I could float over on my imagination and not by ship or plane.

What a lovely thought, Karen.
Often, when I sip a cup of tea, I think of my mum and how much she loves tea. She sips and then sighs 'There's nothing like a good cup of tea'. It makes me smile just to think of her.

We drink a cup or two of decaffinated herbal tea every evening after dinner. It is a nice way to take time to chat about our day. I often think of Ireland when I drink tea. I've had such good tea there in many places. My favorite accompaniment for tea are scones, but your coconut cake looks amazing!

Sipping tea, eating cake and dreaming, what a perfect way to enjoy the day:>) I don't dream much of the past, my dreams usually center around a project that is forming in my head!

My world always looks better when I'm sipping a cup of tea. Your coconut cake looks lovely, Karen, and such a cute teacup!
When you mentioned Hong Kong, I immediately thought of your painting "Miracle" which I won in your Giveaway a few years ago. I was showing it to friends just the other day and told them the story behind it. One of my friends is also an artist and she really liked your painting. It is quite the conversation piece!
Thank you for joining me for tea and have a delightful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Oh my, Karen, everything about your page is always such a delight. I've missed stopping by and was so glad to see you stop by the shop. Our family moved for the first time in 23 years...right in the middle of December. EEEkkk! :) But back to visiting and creating as usual now so I look forward to stopping by again soon.
Thank you for the slice of coconut cake (one of my favs) and all the grace served along with that beautiful teacup.
XOXO's

This is a fun post! You inspired me to take an imaginary voyage with my next cup of tea. Where will it be? Well, since it is COLD and SNOWY where I live, I choose Florida!!! lol
Your cake looks great too.

what a beautiful post, love it. How do you or what do you use to post on the Ipad, I use an ipad, but when I load pictures it only lets me go so far and can't get down the page. Thank you for sharing, I clicked on to check out the scrapbooking, but I do a tea blog with Sandi also, although I missed this week. God bless...
