hen I visited London, I was sure to take a stroll along Charing Cross Road to visit all the old book shoppes.
Books...
hen Mary posted that today's prompt was Books, I was so thrilled to share by book inspiration. Mary from Little Red House posts a prompt each Thursday.
also love displaying old books as artwork around my home.
nother passion of mine is photographing Vintage bookstacks.
also collect images of books on my Pinterest Inspiration board if you would like to have a peek.
s you might have guessed, I just love old books, and I love browsing book inspiration. If you do too, stop by Mary's today.
I like this idea of having turned the pages that someone else turned; with Nook or Kindle, that is not the same thing. Reading and holding a book, seeing someone's notes helps us see into someone's moment when those words sparked something in their mind. Fascinating....
You write so well and I love how you lay out your blog and speak your heart, here your love of old books. Beautiful photographs of delicious old books. I turned my head sideways to read the titles. As well as you describe, old books sitting on a table just add to the beauty of a room, and bring character and history. Now I need to see your books on Pinterest!
Hi Karen! What an absolutely lovely post! I love that movie and I too have a big passion for old books! Thanks for sharing all those lovely photos with us today!
Hugs,

What a beautiful collection of books! I love how artistic they are with the letters and keys added. Beautiful!
Thank you for including the clip of 84 Charing Cross Road because I have heard of it here and there and now I'll make a point of seeking it out and watching in earnest. I knew that I would find beautiful books here, Karen. Now I'll have to find you on Pinterest and look at the collection you've gathered there.
*Sigh* So very lovely, Karen -- a true inspiration! Although I love the convenience of a Kindle, I do also cherish the feel and smell and look of books, especially old ones. How wonderful to see a beautiful copperplate inscription on a fly leaf... :)
Thanks so much for contributing to Thursday's Inspiration! xoxo
You've created some charming vignettes with the old books you love to collect. This theme is a nice one as we get to set what others are reading and how books can be artistically displayed in the home.

Just lovely, Karen. So many of us share your love of books, but you have the gift of capturing their beauty.
I just love the look of your blog. You are inspiring! I have never thought about displaying my old, vintage books.
You are expanding my world - thank you also for the links to other bloggers with the same interests.
