A Drive in The Country Inspiration

I was driving home the other night and had to stop to photograph these beautiful swans.

Don't you just love going for a ride and listening to your favorite Oldies?

I love stopping to memorize some eye candy along the way.

As I was driving passed my favorite Vintage book store, I saw the sign that they were closing and all the books were 80% off.

I found this gorgeous German Bible from 1870 in one of my favorite Vintage book shops. This amazing volume was $5.00

The perfect compliment to a pillow cover I designed to look very Harry Potterish.  The perfect window dressing for my shops.

I recently fell in love with a print on Etsy.  It's called Waiting For The Ferry, by Longbluestraw.  I have it hanging in my kitchen to let me know Martha's Vineyard is just a ferry ride away.

When I got home from an adventure drive yesterday with my friend Joyce, I sat down with a cup of tea to finish my book.  I have been savoring each page of Susan Branch's A Fine Romance. Joyce and I went to Susan Branch's book signing in August and I loved meeting her.

This book is truly the best travel memoir I have read.  It is one of those books that can carry you away from every care in the world.

A Fine Romance will permanently be on my nightstand so that I can take a drive through the English countryside whenever I like.

Ahh, but one of my highlights for the day was when RJ wanted to take his friend Caillou for a ride in his new jeep.

CLINK!.

"A toast for you to find magical things to memorize during your travels."

What an enchanted area you live in Karen. Those swan pictures are so beautiful. And so is RJ...

Oh Karen,

What a precious find to obtain the Word of God in such beautiful script. I just had a delightfully quiet evening tonight, and like you going out to enjoy nature (those swans are fabulous!), I was able to hear the quiet from my covered deck, seek the moon in the sky, and pray. I don't always have such quiet!

Thank you my dear for coming to visit me. Poetry is not easy to find within or without. It comes once in a great while by surprise. Off to try to write another verse. Blessings, Anita

Lovely gathering of beautiful things...What a sweet find at the book shop ( how sad it is going out of business ). Oh I feel the same way about Susan Branch's book. I keep picking it up and rereading. It's written in such a way that it is easy to do. On your nightstand...now that's a plan.

Love that sweetie pie, too.

We are celebrating the coming of Autumn on Pink Saturday this week. I hope you will join us.
