October's Autumn Glow

Autumn Glow, originally uploaded by bluebirdsandteapots.

Today it started out looking gray and cloudy with a chance of rain. Later in the morning the sun came out and it turned out to be a lovely warm Autumn day. My plan was to stay at home and do some artwork, but I knew that these Autumn days will soon be gone, so I took a ride to quaint and historical Concord.

I have wanted to live in New England ever since I was a little girl. Growing up in Long Island fall is lovely, but I guess the mountains and all the lakes really showcase the fall leaves. My mom lives in Vermont, so I get to see gorgeous New Hampshire on the way also. The hardest part of this beautiful short season is that I can't embrace the beauty quick enough before the leaves have fallen. Karen

Incredible photos! I am fascinated by Concord, I must get there for a visit. Do they have good long summers or are they very short?

Kelly, the summer months are from late June until the middle of October. This has been a very dry Autumn, usually September and October months have quite a bit of rain. Blessings, Karen

I understand completely. Enjoying the fall around here is all I want to do at the moment. It will be so sad when it starts to fade. Your photos are gorgeous!

Oh, how wonderful to meet you today! I haven't been to MA to see the fall colors, and it sure is on my list for future delights. I can sooooooo relate to your choice to get out and about to seize the colorful fall moments. I did the same on Sunday. We can all feel the change coming, as you mentioned. Love the photos you chose, and can't wait to see it there someday. So glad you enjoyed the blog photos, and amazing re. your NC sister connection!! Small world. Am delighted you'll be back, and I sure will be, too. Have a great day! :-)
