Happy Pink Saturday

It's another Pink Saturday celebration over at Bev's place, How Sweet The Sound. We are on our way to visit my mother in Vermont, so I thought I would put my Pink Saturday Post up a bit early.

As I looked around my garden I couldn't help but notice all the pink geraniums. Such a great inspiration to paint. One of my favorite things to do is to paint miniatures. I have a special composition I love to paint. So, I thought why not paint pink geraniums.

painting 2Here are the stages of painting a miniature. It's a bit different because you have to work so very small. I love putting a big fat white mat on the finished painting at the end. You can either put the matted miniature in a frame, or just leave it in the mat and rest it on your favorite easel.

Stages of painting a Miniature Painting of Pink Geraniums

Mary Isabella from Daisy Bouquet invited me to join her Pay It Forward, which means I take the first three people who comment on this post and I send them something. So, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to give away three of my miniature original Pink Geranium paintings. The first three people that comment on this post will receive one. I will contact you by Monday, when I return from my trip to get your addresses.

If you would like to continue the Pay It Forward, here are the directions:
The first three people who comment on this post will receive a surprise. Then you can post this challenge on your blog. You send the first three people who comment on the post a gift too. The gift that keeps on giving. The gift can be something you have, or made, or bought, or flee market items.

The best part of painting miniatures is that you can paint several at one time. So, I painted quite a few. I will include the white mat with each painting, the image measures 3" x 4 1/2" and the outside of the mat measures 5" x 7". So, you can use it right away sitting on an easel, or any 5 x 7 frame will fit. I really love using photo frames because you can stand them up, as well as hang them on a wall. When I return from Vermont on Monday, I will contact the first three people who have commented on this post, and get your addresses. Playing the game is your choice, but I will be sending you these miniatures either way.

Now for more pure pink post fun, visit Bev from How Sweet The Sound and continue on your Pink Saturday Journey. The name of the song for this post is Garden in the Rain, sung by the lovely Diana Krall.

Now I can't wait to paint something pink for next Pink Saturday.

Hope you have a Happy Pink Saturday

The miniature paintings are just lovely! And how nice to go to Vermont - somewhere I have always wanted to go, especially in the autumn. I am pleased to be home and at last to have time to visit all my wonderful blog friends. I have also not forgotten my prize! I am going to post it and award my prize winners this weekend. Just takes a while to get back on keel after a trip away! Love Eleanor
