Today is PINK SATURDAY and Bev from How Sweet The Sound has many wonderful pink posts today. January is always an in-between month to me, and I like to think about creating crafts for February. So when Kim, Tilly Valentine's sister came for a visit the other day. She reminded me that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and what a perfectly pink thing to discuss on Pink Saturday.
Valentine's Day brings back memories of grammar school with stacks of hand signed postcard Valentines. Of course there was always a hand-made one for mom and dad that we made in school.
Tucked into tiny envelopes, addressed to all my friends were little postcard Valentines. Coming back home with a stack of little envelopes for me in my schoolbag, I couldn't wait to sit at the kitchen table and count them all. So, I thought why not enjoy that same thrill with other little girls too.

Tilly loves to read and arrange bouquets of flowers, the color pink and most of all she loves Valentine's Day. She loves princess movies and lollipops and she likes listening to the soundtracks from her favorite movies.

Tilly is adorable! I remember making Valentine mailboxes for our desks at school. We would use a shoe box and cover it with crepe paper, heart cut outs, aluminum foil and lace. We would win prizes for the most creative Valentine mailbox. Then everyone would walk around the room depositing their Valentine mail in our mailboxes...
