Pink Saturday

The Hat Shop

Hat shops like this one always make me think about how it was when my grandmother was a young woman. Dressing in lovely frocks and wearing hats for almost every occasion.

I just know that if I picked my favorite one, it would be the pink one. Not because today is Pink Saturday and Bev over at How Sweet The Sound is hosting another day filled with posts all about pink...but because I love pink.

Something pink and lovely came in the mail yesterday...

My lovely friend Louise from Whispering Poppies had a giveaway recently to celebrate the grand opening of her new shoppe,

and I won.

Everything Louise designs is so feminine and romantic, like this sheet music, and Vintage tag with lovely ribbons.

I especially love this broach that was designed and created by Louise for her Whispering Poppies Shoppe Grand Opening.

I love Louise and all of her incredible jewels and treasures on her Etsy Shop too, and every blog design is so romantic in a lovely Vintage creation way.

Thank you Louise, and your new romantic designs for Valentine's Day Simply stole my heart.

I wish there were more reasons to wear a hat, because windows like this make me yearn to wear one. I rather think one of these Pink hats would look quite lovely with Louise's broach. Dreaming of an era of romance as I listen to the song for this post FLY ME TO THE MOON. Well, Happy Pink Saturday, and please be sure to stop by Bev's place HERE, to read the Pink Posts for today.

I'm with you on the pink hat! It would be the one I would chose. Sometimes I do wear hats because I like to & because my husband loves for me to wear them. You should go buy that pink one & wear it because you like it & it gives you memories! Your treasures from the giveaway are wonderful. I won a give away too so check out my goodies. Isn't it fun to get those little pacakges of love in the mailbox! Have a happy weekend.

Hi Karen, thank you for the get well wishes. I love this post, Happy Pink Saturday and Congratulations on winning Louise's incredible brooch. I am so pleased you won. Your hats remind me of an old newsreel I saw this week of John Kennedy's Inaguartion as President, everyone was wearing a hat. Do you think we could start a revival? I adore hats. Thank you for the post. hugs Margie.

I wish we still wore hats. I'm reading a biography about Audrey Hepburn right now and everyone was so elegant back then. They may not have been very comfortable though. Hmmm...

Happy Pink Saturday,

We used to always wear hats on Easter Sunday, but now that tradition is gone too. (sigh) Happy Pink Saturday.

I wish wes till wore hats. There was hat shop in my hometown when I was young. I used to love to look in the windows at all the fancy hats. In those days, Catholic women had to wear hats to chuch...it was great to pick out your Easter hat. Not many ladies wear hats anymore, and I really miss that. Thanks for a nostalgic post Karen. Hugs

I was at a tea shop the other day and they have hats for sale. Oh, how I wished I had a place to wear a hat. That had some beautiful hats. I fell in love with a spring green hat but there was a pretty pink one too.

Thanks for Pink Saturday fun!

I am not covered up with pink here, at our cottage, The Painted Nest, LOL so that SAT was a stretch for me!! :) LOL

I am running behind on my comments as I have been traveling for work :)

I adore hats LOL so you have captured this MUSE :)

Hi Karen
I love all those beautiful hats too. It's too bad we seldom have an occasion for a hat.
Maybe I need to have a Victorian tea party and everyone could wear a hat!
