I just love your flower photos Karen, I don't think my camera is equipped to get that close to the flowers and I don't get that luminous, textured result that you do. I love Hollyhocks, and hydrangeas, and peonies, oh Karen, I don't think I can choose just one!

Oh my dearest artist, how I want to join in on the give-away! My favorite flower is lavender. It is the flower that I believe was once called spikenard and legend tells that Mary Mag. poured the fragrant oil of this flower on Jesus' feet. Could you just imagine the scent that wafted through the air at that sacred moment? Lavender is my choice. And thanks for visiting; so lovely to see you. Anita

Your photos of flowers are simply stunning Karen, all of them, but I like your art even better. Ah to ask about my favorite flower is like asking who is your favorite child. There is a flower for every occasion: a Lily because of the smell, Lavender the same, Violets because they are so sweet, roses, peonies, hollyhocks, ah I simply cannot choose. You are too generous Karen. I'm sure that the winner is a lucky person and that every flower you paint, or every bouquet, is gorgeous! Good luck to everyone!

Oh, my, Karen. How nice of you do this for one of us. Can I pick more than one flower? !!! I love iris. We had beautiful iris of all colors when I was growing up in New Mexico. I can't grow them here -- too wet and humid. Then there is the pansy -- all those delightful little faces! The rose (especially if it *smells*), tulips -- they make me smile. The daisy .... well ... I could go on and on! Thanks for dropping by! :D

My favorite flowers, they change all the time, but right now two types, firstly peonies, (the ones with the mauve trim in the centers, the scent is divine),the other pink rose buds. They were the flowers at my daughters wedding a few weeks ago.

Karen,

Your photos in this post are spectacular. Does that have any connection to your love of flowers perhaps?!!

The painting of the pansies is just beautiful. Watercolors are perfect for pansies it seems.

My favorite flowers have always been white daisies. They are so simple and sweet. I'm afraid they wouldn't make for a very colorful painting though!!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend. And by the way, I haven't forgotten to mention the beautiful journal page you gave me. I am preparing a post with some recent gifts from friends like you!!
