WAIT

Time,
it just seems
like time
is flying by
soooo
quickly.

A Stroll thru Concord

I barely have time to adjust to all the changes lately, only to be greeted by more change.

Fall Planter

Pumpkin TimeI thought I would share some favorite Autumn photographs today. I seemed to have had more time in previous seasons to capture the moment.

Landing safe and soundGee, it feels like just yesterday when I was saying goodbye to the last days of summer.

Fall Reflection

Now Fall is ending quickly.

Soon, we will have snow and all the bright colors of Autumn will be replaced by white.

White

I love snow, but it just seems that time is flying by so quickly, and I hardly have time to embrace the season I am in, when...

The clocks suddenly fall back, and I come home in the dark and I spot people have Christmas lights up, and it isn't even Thanksgiving. Wait a minute, wasn't Halloween just last week? I must be moving more slowly now, because I used to be able to adjust to change.

snow & bushes

newport clockI don't know why, but I seem to be fighting change. Once I welcomed the change of seasons and was ready to enjoy the next one.

Now I feel as though I just want to stand still for a bit, and take it all in before time rushes by and changes the backdrop.

I am going to stop today and time time. Time to look around and remember what season I am in, and embrace all that glory of this moment, before I step into tomorrow. Maybe then I can make stand still, even for just a little while.

The song for this post is We Have All The Time In The World.

Sweet Karen, how eloquently put! Indeed, time is passing so quickly! I feel this too. But I could never have expressed it in words as well as you! Buckle up friend!!! (smiles)

I know exactly how you feel - and the time passes more quickly with each successive year. Remember when it was an eternity between Christmases? Now, I barely have the mess from one Christmas completely out of the house before the next one is here!

... is that time flies clock really on your house?! Love it!

Karen,
I know exactly what you mean! I can't believe how fast time seems to be going. Pretty soon up North here the snow will be flying, and I feel like I just got my summer flowers in and the fall leaves are all over the place. But they are pretty. I was just reading Susan Branch's Autumn book, love all her books. Better get out her winter book.
I ordered the Harriet Reisen BOOK. Looks like my kind of book.
Your Fall pictures are really pretty.

Good evening my dear friend. How are you today? Your photos are telling of the truth of time; it waits for no one! That is why I believe in living in the moment; the past is good, the future unknown, but now is known and that is all we have. Your photos capture the beauty of the past, the excitement of the present moment and the hope of future seasons. Thank you!! Anita

I love the fiery beauty of autumn but it is the shortest season ever! Just a few short weeks of color really, and then the leaves fall and whether it is really winter or not, it seems that autumn is over. I'm glad you captured the beauty in photos, they are spectacular!

Karen, I am playing catchup with your blog today and love this Nov. 6th post... Is the first photo with the blazing yellow tree the one in Concord Center? It looks just like the one I posted recently after Amanda and I took a trip to Concord the last week of October! Perhaps you were there at the same time!!!... Donna
