Pink Saturday
Friday, February 26, 2010
Today is a Pink Saturday of the Alice kind. Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting another Pink Saturday.
h, let's call it Alice in Pink Saturday Land...
Recently I joined a Swap that Karla from Karla's Cottage is hosting. I just love everything Alice In Wonderland.
The tags must measure 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 and you can create any Alice you like. So...
Using my Antique copies of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland I really had fun.
Adding a bit of Alice Love to my designs, I glittered them too. The Mad Hatter Tea Party has a little teapot.
A few miniature cards added just the touch I needed for Alice painting the roses red.
Karla will be taking our submissions and creating mini books for all of us. I have been curiouser and curiouser, so I have been checking her posts daily, she is making beautiful Alice tags of course.
I am sending them early, not at all what Rabbit would do. Now if you love Alice, then here are some images I created just for you...
When I was a little girl, I dreamed of working at Disney Land.
Wouldn't it have been fun to dress up like Alice and walk around that park?
Riding in the teacup ride whenever we liked. Marching in the Disney Parade.
Greeting all the people and welcoming them to Disney Land.
Not to mention we would get to wear an Alice frock, and watch the fireworks every evening.
Alas, my dream never came true but I here I am all grown up and I still get to play with Alice designs.
Let's go down the rabbit hole and visit another Pink Lady who has the loveliest blog and of course mainly pink things. She is Marie Arden Pink Living.
The song for this post is from the new movie Alice In Wonderland performed by Owl City, The Technicolor Phase.
Your tags are marvelous! - I especially like the tea party!!!
I wish I had gotten involved in that swap - I adore all things Alice!
ooh karen, how fun!

Oh you'd have made the most lovely Alice! (As I was reading your post, a vague memory came floating up...my mother reading Alice in Wonderland to my sister and me.) I can only imagine how much fun you had creating your lovely images and the tags are magnificent.
It's this weekend for sure Karen! All Alice all weekend!
Your tags are great! Isn't this fun?
I like your story about dreaming to find a job in Disneyland. My daughters dream was to become a mayor, when she was about 4. I was very surprised. Until she told me that she would love love love to welcome Santa! Now she wants to become a nurse.
I really enjoyed all your Alice images. Have a lovely weekend and a happy Pink Saturday!
Happy PiNk, Karen

How are your lovely eyes today?
I love your tags Karen! Making tags is one of my favorite fun things to do. They are such manageable little works of art and fun and have a myriad of uses. All your special touches are so perfect!
I LOVE your tags, Karen. The Pink Sat Rabbit at the end was my fav! My little Grand Girl is an Alice fan, too, so because of her interest I have grown to "relove" it as well.
I just read your Thurs.post. I am so glad the problem with your eyes can be taken care of with medicine. How frightening!
I hope you have a wonderful Pink Sat!!!! L, dana
Wow, what wonderful tags! Love Alice In Wonderland too!

Hi Karen, It's been awhile since I have visited and I see all kinds of new things around here. Fun! And I love your Alice post today. It's so funny because yesterday I shipped off a very vintage, very shabby copy of Alice in Wonderland to a customer of mine. She has a friend who she was treating to a birthday dinner and then off to see the new movie with Depp and then she was giving her the book from my shop. Isn't that so nice? Her friend is crazy about Alice in Wonderland. I am so glad I got to be a part of her best friend's surprise and a part of your Pink Saturday. Fabulous tags! HPS. xoxo Lynn
Karen, your tags are absolutely wonderful...i love the creative way that you are embellishing them...those little tea pots are the sweetest things!!!
Fabulous - I love Alice! Can't wait for the new film - I so hope it lives up to expectations. And if it doesn't... well... it LOOKS fabulous too.
