Thankful Thursday

Today Rhondi from Rhondi's Rose Colored Glasses is hosting Thankful Thursday.

Forest-eyes

Eyes,

eyes

I have been very thankful this week for my eyes.

Hey there you with the stars in your eyes

I was having pain in my eyes and I could hardly see.

Puzzle Portrait

It has been bothering me for several weeks and continued to worsen.

Oh man, I'll just keep my eyes closed

I couldn't paint, or create or spend much time on the computer. Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh no!

Karen at seventeen

I went to the eye doctor and he told me that I have a staph infection in both eyes. Yuk.

Yet he gave me this cream to use for a month and he didn't seem alarmed. Now I can have tea with the queen.

Karen and the Queen

Today I am so thankful for my eyesight, and to have such wonderful doctors nearby who I can always rely.

Some Things Never Change...

I am thankful that the Lord is always watching over and directly my steps. Most of all I am thankful He reminds me to be grateful for the things I sometimes take for granted. This month I was reminded to always open the eyes of my heart so that I always keep the Lord in view. The song for this post is Open The Eyes of My Heart.

Yes, eyes matter! I'm thankful I can see, and I'm thankful I live at a time when glasses are easy to come by!

Hi Karen
I am so glad to hear that your eyes are okay and hopefully getting better. For an artist, having eye trouble is even worse. The card didn't come yet. I'll watch for the mailman with expectation today.
Thanks for joining my thankful Thursday.
Hugs, Rhondi

Yes, our eyes are so important. Glad it was only an infection and could be cured with medicing. Enjoy all the lovely sights this week. Stella

OMG Karen! If you ever need me for anything just let me know. You don't need to go through it by yourself. I could be there in a jiffy.

Oh goodness Karen, I am so glad it wasn't something serious! Our eyes are so important, and to an artist like yourself, the loss of sight would be devastating. A wonderful post to remind us of things we so often take for granted.

Thank heaven it wasn't anything serious. I can't imagine what life would be like without my eyesight!!!

What a precious gift that I also take for granted. I'm so glad that yours are doing better; the world comes alive in such a wonderful way through them and so many beautiful things come in to being.

Dearest Karen,

I too was having a problem with my eyes, but it seems to have dissipated; we often complain here of eye problems, but we think it is from the extreme cold and dry air, unlike Mass., where I found the air to be moister. I am so glad you caught this in time! IS THAT REALLY YOU WITH THE QUEEN? It looks like you....God bless you dearest one! Keep on creating with those lovely eyes of yours!!!

Thanks God.
