Charm Inspiration
Thursday, March 18, 2010
Cindy from Romantic Home is hosting her weekly Show and Tell Friday. I have been wanting to participate for quite a while. I love reading her beautiful blog, and you must stop by and visit the many blogs that join in for Show and Tell Friday.
I thought I would share some Prism Inspiration.
Jewelry is not just for us to wear.
A chandelier prism can be decorated with French script, becoming a lovely bookmark.
Or a charm created with a chandelier print, can become a bit of coffee table book jewelry.
A Peacock Prism
can decorate a cloche created for Spring.
A large Vintage chandelier Prism decorated with a bird's nest illustration,
adds a little something to an Antique book about birds.
I just love charms added to almost anything, because they can take an ordinary object and make it look special.
One can never have enough doves,
Especially when adorning a favorite jar for Spring.
This Pink Saturday, I will have a tutorial on how to create these. I couldn't believe how simple they were to make.
Karen, this is exquisite. You know I am making my own books now....you can visit my latest blog from my sidebar, "HOT OFF THE PRESS" and I am learning what I can do for embellishments. I love this idea of the French script. BRAVO! Bisous ma belle amie! Anita
You have some very inspiring ideas here, Karen. I'll be sure to stop by Saturday!
Happy Thursday, my friend! :-)

Your art is beautiful. I really need to have your "self portrait" from your Etsy shop.
I just barely started to do altered books and art journal. And you like ephemera?? I have always loved what I use to call "scrap paper." ephemera sounds so much more important!
