Tales from My French Country Home, Mae's Journey Abroad

DSCF8005

Today is White Wednesday, and Kathleen from Faded Charm is hosting. I thought I would share the story I wrote for another lovely cottage blog, My French Country Home, celebrating her white linen finds.

French Inspirationhis was not an ordinary day in the life of Mae Bowen. She was going on a journey, not just any journey mind you, but she was traveling abroad.

DSCF8005

French InspirationAs she dreamed of what magical places she would see in France, she touched each garment hung on the line to make sure that they were all dry.

French InspirationOnce she brought the basket into the house, she made stacks of her things.

100_2083Please stop by My French Country Home, I have a feeling that this is not the end of the story, but just the beginning. Because once you arrive, you will find other stories written about her cherished linen Antique finds. If you would like to join in and create a story about Sharon's lovely linens, just stop by read about her invitation, and her giveaway to be announced on Sunday.

French InspirationJust like Sharon, I am inspired to know what stories are attached to lovely Antique finds, and often I am lost Somewhere in Time, the name of this song.

100_2083If you have time, you must really get lost in an enchanting moment when you visit Sharon's Guest House, sigh, a dreamy place to stay.

Good morning my sweet Karen...this is so enchanting and up my alley. As I struggle to read it (I will explain further on), I am so encouraged to continue to dream and create for the simple joy of partaking in the art of being a child of God..imaginative and free to let the mind wander, focus, compose and share.

I was out all day yesterday with my dear husband, shopping for furnishings for our new room....he is so excited, I fear he is jumping the gun a bit buying pieces before the rooms are built, but I think he is more of a nest builder that I gave him credit for! However, I wasn't feeling too good. For the last 2 days, my right eye has been bloodshot red, which is something that both he and I have had. It has always cleared up. However, to my chagrin, I woke up this morning to see that my eye hasn't improved, but that the other eye is not starting to turn bloodshot and that my original eye is not starting to get red on the other end. I have to get to a doctor today. I have no pain or itching, so this is a mystery. I thought it was allergies, but it just isn't pink but RED! I will visit the link you provided here and I would love to join in....I need to get my eyes straigtened out today and find out what the scoop is! I know that you had a bout with an eye infection a while back....were your eyes bloodshot?

This was a beautifully written post dear one....so lovely and linens are just now becoming an item of interest in my décor....funny, I am such a late bloomer with certain things. Here, these gorgeous embellishments have been under my nose, but I am barely starting to notice them. Thank you for this lovely invitation dear one.....Anita

Those monograms are amazing. I just love the vintage monograms on sheets, pillow cases, table runners. I try to get as many as I can and then I either make them into pillows are just use them as is. Wonderful pictures.
