esting is an art and is surely influenced by
the lovely shop Nesting On Main.
A shop tucked high above the others, like a decorated bowerbird nest. Located above a cafe on Main Street in Concord, Massachusetts.
This is the place where I go to for inspiration.
The place where I take my friends to share in the oohs and aahhs,
and then after collecting inspiration and a few unusual trinkets, head to the cafe downstairs for coffee.
This is the place I would like to take you to today.
Each beautiful vignette is an inspiration.
Combining new and old
with a touch of something so special, like a bowl filled with seahorses.
The art of nesting...
Collecting our little baubles and such to create lovely vignettes of our own.
Making our homes cozy and enchanting.
The shopkeepers, Wendy, Melissa and Beth are amazing people.
This little haven has lifted my spirits on a bad day,
and inspired me on the good days when I am swept away on creative adventures after memorizing the magic.
Yes, this is the place that has inspired so many of my fabric designs and posts.
More than the objects, more than the beautiful and talented way each shelf, nook and cranny and corner is staged...
The warmth and attention that these ladies give to their customers makes you feel like you are coming home.
Nesting on Main, I hope that you have enjoyed your trip with me on this beautiful Springtime day.
Now, let's go downstairs and get that cup of tea or coffee, shall we?
What a fun store, Karen! I saw so many things I could take home. And I particularly love the old propeller. How neat! And a cabinet with a bead board back painted blue and bird cages... just all sorts of neat pieces. I can see why you love this.
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hi Karen! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a note. :-)
This shop looks amazing and I am really in love with the last image of the teacup ~ stunning! Have a beautiful day! ~ Rebecca
Ooohs and ahhhs for sure! What a wonderful place to wander in.
Hugs,
Penny
I could spend at least a week in this nest! I see your inspiration!
Oh goodness..... I wish we had a neat looking shop like this one. Our small town is lacking in fun and interesting shops. I could spend hours in the one you've shown us....
Hugs,
It's a pleasuredome! The birdcages are just so lovely and I saw something on a wall that looked like a propeller. Love it!
I'm so excited because I get to start painting and decorating the interior of my home. It's been long postponed since my eye got sick six months ago.
I finally get to fluff my nest!
Deanna :D
Oh my what a shop. I would love to have my home look like that. I love anything related to nature and that is an incredible nature filled space. Thank you for sharing it with us. I could spend all day looking and getting so much inspiration from this shop. ~~Sherry~~
You had me at pussy willows and sea horses Karen!

Karen, isn't Nesting on Main wonderful? I've posted about them a few times on my blog as well. Concord is always such a beautiful place to visit. We usually go in October, with a visit to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery always on the list of "must visit today" places! Your photos of the shop were lovely!!... Donna

And thank you for the inspiration...I got a great idea for a future project!
