A drive in the country

It's amazing what you find driving down the country roads of this area in Massachusetts.  I was driving in Sudbury near The Wayside Inn, and I found some nice things to photograph.

If you drive down a road that you have never driven down before, it makes you feel so relaxed.  Probably because there is nothing connecting you in your thoughts to that new place.

I love the stone walls and the old garden gates,

and the old stone buildings.

As I drove down this little country road I stumbled upon a dairy farm.

I decided to go inside to buy a bottle of water and a yogurt.

Who knew that the place would be so charming.  The girl behind the counter said that this rooster's name is Max and he loves ice cream.

Wishing you a lovely Monday, filled with surprises just around the corner.  Stop by and visit Mary, from Dear Little Red House, it's Mosiac Monday today.  Mary is an amazing photographer.

Max says "have some ice cream and enjoy the ride."

And there is something about an old stone building at sunset...

I like to take a new road, or even drive a familiar road in the direction not often taken. One has a whole new perspective.
I love the shot of the sun on the stone walled building - gorgeous!

It's true what you say about driving down a road you've never been down before, who knows what's waiting around the bend?
Love your photographs and they way you have "played" with them!
Happy Monday.

It is so charming to know that there are STILL humble places like this in our country. I loved Mass. because I could always go somewhere that history touched but had not been overly touched by modernity. And as you mention driving down a road where you have never been, I LOVE THAT NOVELTY. Our minds are sparked with ideas and new possibilities come to play when we are introduced to something NEW. I LOVE IT.

Thank you sweet friend for visiting and leaving a comment; I BET THAT MINIATURE SHOW WAS AWESOME! I can't wait to see what you got!!!!!!!!

Have a fabulous week! Anita
