The other evening the Super Moon was holding all of us captive. People from all over were taking photos of the moon, like my favorite one on flickr.
Here we had a bit of clouds in the sky, but I was able to capture the moon peeking through the clouds.
As I gazed up at the moon and the stars, I remembered children's books that I loved and read to my children, like Goodnight Moon.
And nursery rhymes about the moon.
Then my daydreaming led me to my favorite song, Fly Me To The Moon, and a little story too. Romantic reminders of how the moon influences our life. This version of the song is especially lovely.
Fill my heart with song and let me sing forevermore...
Did you watch the moon, and take photos too?
(Oh I tried. I truly did. I was out in the yard for over an hour from the street to the back lawn. I got a lot of baloney. The arc of the moon was so low the ground that trees interfered mightily. John and I are not so adventurous as we once were when we'd chase the moon.)
Your photos came out beautifully. Did you happen to see #5 at Mary's Mosaic Monday? Thoy were cool shots, too, especially the one in the middle.
