Dancing with Light

I have been thinking about light versus darkness lately.

Spiritually, it seems there is always equal amounts of both.

It's the choice to dwell on the blessings that sets us free from the darkness which sometimes surrounds us.

The art of dancing around the darkness and choosing light as our partner is the tough part.

On wonderful TED there is a video called Dancing with light.  It's a beautiful and artistic dance and it illustrates how we have to choose to dance with light in order to avoid the darkness.

Choosing to think about the good things that bless us, and not dwelling on the bad.

This is the art of life...

Choosing to dance with the light.

"All I know to do is to light the candle that has been given to me."

Fred Rogers, (Mister Rogers)

To walk in the truth, surely this is walking in the light.  Such a beautiful blessing for our children.  Find Your Wings by Mark Harris.

That is exactly what it is: A CHOICE. And the dance of darkness is ever so graceful and easy, and it can trick us in thinking that it is truth. But the dance of light is difficult and requires skills and discipline, but oh is it ever worth the many mistakes one has to make to find the truth embedded in each step of the way.

Blessings dear friend, Anita

Yes. It certainly is a choice and not always the easy road. Lovely, uplifting post, Karen. You just have a way!

A choice indeed, and not just one but a series of daily choices as we are surrounded by so many voices. My heart is fixed upon Christ, and His truth--His Word--helps me to renew my mind as I make those ongoing choices. I choose Light, Truth, Life...Perfect Love.
Thank you, Karen. The dance video was amazing.
Much love,
Marcia

What lovely thoughts. I find my mood much improved by spending time here in Florida...the sunshine state. The brightness wakes me in the mornings and makes me happy.
