This fabric is being sent to a new customer in West Yorkshire, England.
I love England and although my customer only ordered the repeat in yardage, I thought I would include the larger scale fat quarter as a little gift.
"A garden without Roses is like a ring without jewels,
but a garden of Roses is a ring and jewels all in one."
There is something about England that always sets me to daydreaming.
So, I put on some music, poured myself a cup of tea and sat down to read some lovely words about English gardens. I gave myself permission to follow my muse into a faraway place.
Then I resumed the task of wrapping packages filled with fabrics and treasures to ship.
Dinner was wonderful and the music hall has a stage lit up with a backdrop of tiny stars against a midnight blue sky.
We went to see Paula Cole perform. Ever since I have been listening to every song I could find of hers. She is an amazing performer, what a voice. This song for this post is performed by Paula Cole and another favorite, the wonderful Chris Botti.
I hope that your creative muse led you to the same place that I visited today. Give yourself permission to daydream for a while.
Karen, that fabric is gorgeous. She is going to be so excited!
And I felt like I had escaped right along with you. Thank you for taking us to the concert, too.
You are always thinking of others. One of the many, MANY reasons I love your blog and you.
XO,
Sheila
Hi Karen...that fabric is yummy. And what a wonderful way to spend an afternoon...lost in those beautiful daydreams!
What a treat your customer is in for, opening that pretty package of fabric! England has always been my dream vacation, (along with Ireland and Scotland!) Some day....
Oh dear Karen,
I recently sent several Etsy orders to England to dear people...they are just wonderful! I hope to meet some of our British blogger friends one day.
YOUR FABRIC is just magnificent. You work so hard, and I find myself working EVERY DAY, but I am in the discovery stages. It takes EACH DAY to fashion a design, weeks to figure out if it is what people want, and years to make the artist.
BRAVO MY FRIEND! Anita
Karen, I loved this post. I do need to take some time to daydream.
Hugs,
Penny
You must have enjoyed going with Susan Branch to England. It was such a charming journey.
What you did with your artwork and the snippets spaced just so looks so lovely to my eye. I am in awe of anyone who can get the formatting to work that well.
The fabric is so feminine, graceful, and has that bit of a shimmer and a glow about it. Very neat.
Daydream? What is that? I haven't done it in so long.
