Back in Massachusetts and traveling to Cape Cod

Old Silver Beach, Falmouth
I am loving being back home, and one of the places I wanted to visit most was Sandwich, and Falmouth on the Cape.

Falmouth Heights

Falmouth, near the ferry to Martha's Vineyard
Old Silver Beach, Falmouth
I also wanted to visit one of my favorite Vintage shops here, Spalding Cooperidge.  Look at this beautiful find...
Framed in a gorgeous Vintage frame painted a beautiful Paris blue. I knew just where I wanted to hang this painting and the vignettes that it would inspire.

I arranged some of my favorite beach reading wedged between bookends that resemble the bridge leading to the Cape.
Of course there just had to be a nest somewhere on my mantle.  This one I purchased the same day as the painting.
A few shells scattered here and there were the finishing touch.

When I was done, I sat for an hour with a cup of tea, just staring at the fireplace daydreaming about Spring and warmer weather.

I added some yellow tulips this morning.

Oh, and Ashley and I had a little photo shoot with baby Brayden.

What a magical thing it is to have a new baby in the house.  What a blessing to be back and enjoying taking care of my baby while she cares for RJ and Brayden.

It seems like yesterday that RJ was my littlest pumpkin, and now we have two.

Have a beautiful day.

Ned this song is for you, and I promise I'll be back in Winston soon.

What eye candy! First the scenes of Cape Cod, then the new painting, and then the baby shots! Just precious! Loved your mama/baby shot, too, Karen!

I am so happy for you...

Karen, there's so much beauty in this post. You've had me in tears from, "...I am loving being back home" to "...taking care of my baby while she cares for RJ and Brayden."
And then there's Barry. Sigh... My husband surprised me with concert tickets in January and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. I sang for days. :)

Have I ever told you that I love visiting with you, kindred heart? ;)
Have a lovely.
xoxo

Good evening Karen! How nice to know you are back in Mass., and in such a great place. I imagine being by the water again has to be invigorating, as it was for me when I went back home to California and visited Santa Monica Beach.

Your new little addition is precious!

And, all of your babes are precious.

Brayden is so beautiful! Aren't those little hats with ears for the babies just the cutest things? I nearly laugh out loud with delight every time I see a darling baby wearing one of those:>) The painting is gorgeous, and it's so you Karen. I love it. I would love to see that beach in warm sunshine. I am so glad you are enjoying some time home.
