Once upon a time I painted each card and then I discovered the art of having my cards printed and assembling them by hand instead. I wrote a post last year on how I add papers and ribbons to embellish my blank notecards.
I have a line of gift wrap on my shop on Spoonflower, and I have been using the different designs today to create liners for my A7 greeting cards. I got my liner template from Paper Source.
I chose to make Easter cards today for my corner of shelves at Signature Finishes in Grafton, MA. I was in the shop the other day and saw Easter goodies popping up everywhere!
I love being surrounded by everything Shabby Chic.
I begin with having my card shoppe on Society6 print my blank cards with my designs for me.
Then I assemble stationery, writing paper, stickers and ribbons. Adding just enough pretty to make them look special. Today I decided to do a bit of painting on the insert for the inside of the card.
It's snowing a bit again today. Well, I'll get back to card making. I was thinking about adding some pretty mail to my Etsy shop too.
nother reason to stay home and create when it's snowing outside!
