Postcards from Vermont

I drove to Vermont last weekend to visit my Mom.   Autumn in Vermont is a delightful time of year.

As I drove, I tried to stop and capture the magnificent day for you.

It was one of those glorious Fall days that change from gray skies to blue skies against a backdrop of gorgeous Fall leaves.

Every now and then the sun highlighted colorful trees on the mountains.

I stopped by this adorable Malt Shop in Stowe.
 i

I brought my book A Fine Romance inside and sat by the fire while they prepared my grilled cheese sandwich and fries.

I listened to oldies as I enjoyed this charming little Malt Shop.  Paul Anka sang Put Your Head on My Shoulders.

For just a moment I was back dancing with Jimmy Rendall at a Junior High dance. Sigh, he was such a tall, good looking hunk and my first crush.

Then onto memorize some more views before the sun set.

Stowe is a favorite of mine.  Can you believe these views?

Just before sunset, I started on my way for the long drive back to Massachusetts.

Well I hope that you have a lovely day.  And Jimmy Rendall wherever you are, thanks for the memories.

I hope to return before the end of October to see the leaves at peak season.

Autumn Inspiration

If I caught the colors of Fall in a bottle, it would make me smile during all the other seasons.

Whether I am taking rides down country roads,

or decorating around the house, I am inspired.

Pumpkins, apple picking, and Hydrangeas, the colors of Autumn.

I brought these in from outside before we had our frost.  I just love how many different varieties of Hydrangeas are everywhere this time of year.

The welcoming colors of Fall invite everyone to enjoy the glorious scenes around us.  Until the season ends I will memorize all of it's beauty.

I had the pleasure to taking Rick's girls to enjoy the beautiful Fall day on Saturday.  I had to share some photos with you.  They are three and five and as sweet as they are beautiful.

I am joining Mary from Little Red House for Mosaic Monday today.  Wishing you a beautiful Monday and happy Autumn Inspiration.
