but for miniature buns for your doll house. When I read on her blog that she is making these, I fell in love.
When I saw this new tiny bake set from Toni, I couldn't resist it.
So, I have a little mini kitchen sitting on my cake dish on my bakers rack. It reminds me to bake some pretty and delicious "somethin somethin". After all, what's a bakers rack for?
Hope that you enjoyed some cinnamon bun inspiration...betcha you're hungry now!
Music
I have had numerous music playlists since I started blogging. Sooner or later they all have a glitch. So, you might notice my blog is quiet today. Not for long, I love sharing music to reflect the mood of my post. Perhaps some people would prefer quiet. So, instead of an automatic player, I will be sharing a music video at the beginning of each post.
I will miss my sweet playlist, but I guess it gives me an opportunity to share my favorite soundtracks with you, like this one from Letters to Juliet. I never could hear my playlist on my iPad, but I tested this and if you are using an iPad you can hear the music by clicking the arrow. Just click play if you would like a bit of music.
Miniatures
I just love miniatures and the people who create them. I have written about Toni from Mostly Minis on Etsy before. Look at those tiny envelopes that she created using my fabric design.
Of course she covered this little chair with the matching fabric. When I saw that she had created this lovely treasure using my fabrics, I couldn't resist. So I had to add it to my own doll house treasures.
Toni has a new blog, so if you would like to stop by and say hi, and click on her sidebar if you want to enter more miniature heaven.
Something Found
I had such a lovely surprise from Pinterest. A while back when Pinterest was having some issues, I deactivated my account.
Recently I started a new account karenhcox. Every time I would pin something on my new account, I would miss the inspiration boards I had created for KarenHarveyCox Designs. This morning I received a note, changed my password and reactivated my favorite account on Pinterest.
Here's a sample of one of my favorite boards.
I have so many pretty boards, and it was so fun to look through them again. I love it when you find something you thought had been lost forever. Please follow me either on karenhcox or KarenHarveyCox Designs on Pinterest, I would love to see your boards and follow you too.
Before I close and wish you a lovely day, let me also share a little photo of my favorite little man, RJ.
YAY...As I mentioned yesterday, Spoonflower had some new products that they were adding to their shop.
Today Spoonflower announced the launch of their wallpaper and decal product line.
I've been having so much fun browsing through my fabrics and creating decals and wallpaper over the last few months. I have still have lots of work to do, but the funny thing is that it doesn't feel like work, it feels more like coloring in a coloring book.
You know a long time ago when I showed my paintings in art shows, I often thought I really would rather paint something to match someone's couch. Of course my peers were horrified. I never considered myself to be an artist. I thought of myself more of a designer.
Never did I think that someday I could actually help decorate a room with my artwork. Spilling design ideas all over different kinds of fabrics.
One of my delightful customers decorated this headboard with my French script fabric.
Guess what? My dream came true...One of my customers who sells miniatures decorated a little couch in my fabrics. Toni from Mostly Minis creates tiny lovelies.
Here's Toni's latest creation.
One of my favorite friends on Spoonflower calls her shop Art Is Us. Joan is one of the most beautiful people I have met on Spoonflower. She has helped me so much and is the person who introduced me to Society6. Check out her wallpaper, Joan's designs are lovely. Here's an example of her new wallpaper that I just love.
So many of you have inspired me and encouraged me over the years. If it weren't for you, I don't know if I would have been brave enough to continue to follow my dreams.
After all, here I am in my senior years, and I get to design the things that I first wanted to design At Seventeen.
Isn't this chair adorable? I purchased some doll furniture from Toni and fell in love with her workmanship and her style. I purchased this little hutch from her. Toni has a shop on Etsy called Mostly Minis.
She mentioned how she would love to see more shabby chic fabrics in doll house scale. I didn't need much prompting to get busy designing my Doll House Collection.
I love miniatures, and all things tiny. My sister, Susan is wonderful at painting in the tiniest detail, like this sunflower painting that she did for me. Although she works full time, she still manages to be very creative:
Beautiful little rooms, all reflecting the spirit of the little girl within.
I met Toni from Mostly Minis on etsy when I created a treasury. The temptation was too great, I just had to have one of her creations.
Her work is gorgeous, look at the tiny new hardware and how she lined the drawers of this little desk and cupboard.
We chatted a bit, and when she found out that I designed fabric, she told me how much she loved French Script and dreamed of finding tiny Shabby Chic prints for her work.
So, I got busy and designed a collection I call My Dollhouse Fabric. I chose some of my best selling fabrics on Spoonflower, and created the tiniest scale with the miniaturist in mind. When it arrives, I will share it with you.
I stopped by Toni's shop tonight, and couldn't resist again. I just bought the sweetest French chair, and she has another one of the sweetest chair.
She has some of the loveliest things, and her prices are wonderful too.
Toni's shop is called Mostly Minis on etsy. She has created a special coupon code which will give you a 10% off on her items. Just use KARENSBLOG as the coupon code when you checkout.
It's Monday and there has to be a mosaic to celebrate Mosaic Monday over at Little Red House. Mary is hosting mosaic inspiration.
