Welcome To The Tea Party
Monday, July 07, 2008
Today Jan and Tom are hosting a Tea Party of the loveliest kind. If you stop by Jan and Tom's place you will find lots of tea parties going on in Blogland.
I just love tea parties of all sorts...
Like Teddy Bear teas.
Chinese teas.
Mad Hatter tea parties.
I like to bring out my favorite napkins and tablecloth.
Use some of my favorite cake dishes too.
Select just the right flowers for the table...
Create a fancy tea party for a special occasion.
I will tell you a secret, that I learned from a dear friend from England. Every day, late afternoon, I set the table just for me and indulge in a tea party for one. It makes me feel so special and reminds me of all the dear memories of the English teas...

Now if you stop by Jan and Tom's place, they will escort you to all the teas that are being hosted in Blogland.

Karen, you are a girl aftr my own heart. I wish we could have an eleven'es tea sometime! we'll have to jsut plan to break off at eleven one day and celebrate with a midmorning respite from the hectic day! Hope you will join me at my site for tea!

Dear Karen, a visit to your blog is always a delight. Sorry I have not responded to your posting of 5 favourite things. I had trouble getting to the comments page last week. Your favourites are most tastefully and artistically featured! Loved the feature on the prayer garden. Now in spite of my English heritage, I am not a tea drinker but I will join you for a cuppa coffee and cake anytime. Do you perhaps have any rooibos tea? That is redbush tea typical of South Africa? I love that any time of the day, black with lemon, chilled with fruit juice or hot and strong with milk! love Eleanor
Karen...I love your TEA PARTY! Thanks for joining us today and letting everyone come to your place! I loved the suggestion to set a place for yourself and enjoy TEA!!
~Blessings,
Jan
Karen,Your tea settings are beautiful! I loved your hint to set the table each day--just for yourself. I love "bringing elegance into everyday living"--the motto of my shop. You have done just that! Thanks for sharing.
Hello Karen,
Lovely post, I wish we could have tea together sometime...May be in NY City? :o)

Karen, this was so lovely; it was renewal for my spirit.
I like your friends idea. We need to do special things for ourselves.
Hi Karen
What a lovely tea party. You have such a gift and everything you touch is filled with such beauty. I am sorry that I didn't respond back about the tag to list my five favorite things. I already did that and actually I tagged Eleanor at Thatchwick Cottage who tagged you! Glad to be back visiting my friends again.
Hugs, Rhondi

Your post is adorable. I don't know how you did it, but it is cute! Thank you for inviting me to your tea (s)!
I love everything I see here! What a lovely tea party! I only wish I could have participated; I was late setting up my garden table for the party, but I'm so enjoying seeing everyone else's lovely tea sets and stuff...
Have a lovely evening, Karen...
