DOORS TO ADORE

My creation

Peony Wreath Welcome to Doors To Adore.

Today Kari and Kijsa and Darlene from Jade Creative are hosting Doors To Adore. Kari writes...

"Stop by on Tuesday and show off your first impression...your front door at our "Doors to Adore" party with Darlene from Jade Creative. So shine up those windows and dust off your wreaths...Spring Door Decorating is just around the corner."

Pot of PansiesMy door is decorated with this basket of white artificial flowers, which always seems to invite birds to nest. I know artificial flowers...but I live in New England and it is quite cold until May. The pot of pansies are real, but I bring them in when the weather is too brisk.

Doors-Spring

Doorway to FlowersOf course our dog Samantha, who I adore, is my favorite decoration, as she often rests on the steps to our front door. She even matches the sign on our house. My daughter and I ordered that sign in London before we even got Samantha.

Doorway to FlowersSometimes I use a box of forget-me-nots to welcome my guests.

Baby Forget-Me-Not

Later in the season, the forget-me-nots are in full bloom.

Doorway to FlowersLast year at Brimfield's Market, I saw this wreath on display. I have been working on a teacup wreath for later in Spring when everything is in full bloom.

Doorway to FlowersThen there is always the door to the Gazebo in May, that needs a Spring Wreath.

This little cottage is nearby and every time I pass this door it seems to say welcome.

Doorway to Flowers A Martha's Vineyard enchanting door.

Who can resist an ivy covered cottage door?

A few weeks ago I had to brush the snow off my Spring door.

Snow Flowers in Spring

I adore doors, especially in Spring. The song for this post is It Might As Well Be Spring...because here in New England and other places in Blogland the weather is not quite Spring. But we can dream, can't we? Our New England Robins are out...but they wear little sweaters and caps to keep warm. Now if you click HERE you will find where you can link your Doors To Adore post, or visit all the ideas for decorating your door.

How pretty your front door and porch is! This is a great theme day and a way to see a bit of everyone's homes. Your basket of pansies is so cute as well as your wreath. I think your porch really reflects your personality!

By the way, I know you are on the Eastcoast so these pics had to have been taken last summer, right?

Your pictures are just fabulous. I love the scrapbook-type photo you took of your front door. I have never seen that before, and I love it! I, too, use artificial flowers in places. I live in PA, and we actually had an inch of snow last night! What gorgeous inspiration you photos are! Thanks so much for sharing. Amy :)

Oh, I want something to adorn my door. But I have a storm door that is so close it would be hard to get a wreath to fit. I'll have to find something else to greet folks. I loved this, by the way!

Your door is beautiful and very welcoming! My door is behind a screen door, so it really does not stand out. We are thinking about removing the screen door.

Karen, your front door is lovely and so inviting. I would have never thought to put the flowers in an upright position. Now that I've finished my wreath, I'm having second thought about what I'll put on my front door! LOL!

Samantha is just precious and she does look like the sign on the house!
