Pink Saturday

Little French Bed and Calendar

painting-french-8Today is PInk Saturday and Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting this pink event. So, please stop by Bev's PINK SATURDAY PLACE and link to all the pretty in pink posts for this Saturday.

painting-french-3

painting-french-8Painting French. I love French inspiration, and well, if I can't get on a plane today and fly there, I will get lost in a french mood.

painting-french-4

painting-french-8I adore everything with a French flair.

painting-french-9

painting-french-8I was designing some prints for my Etsy shop yesterday, and I came up with this one. Using one of my original paintings, some antique illustrations, ephemera and a bit of script, I created the dove carrying a tiny post card boasting I LOVE PARIS. The print measures 8 x 10 inches and I used Fine Art Paper and archival inks to create a bit of French Inspiration. I call this print...I LOVE PARIS. I put I LOVE PARIS in my shop this morning.

painting-french-2Now I am sending you over to my very French inspirational lady. She lives amongst us every Pink Saturday and creates grand theatre extravaganzas for all of us to enjoy. Anita from Castles, Crowns and Cottages teaches French and everything she does has that flair. She lives in a home inspired by French castles, and if you peek around her home you will find crowns and French reflections. Hurry, if you don't delay you will catch the Third Act of Anita's play.

The song for this post is Un Jour Ou L'autre. I hope you have a very French Pink Saturday.

painting-french-3shhhhh. I purchased a gorgeous Antique Parisian black and white architectural lithograph yesterday from a new blogging friend Keri from Antique Therapy. When I got home I took this lovely artwork and digitally created the pieces in this post. She now has a beautiful corner of my absolutely favorite antique shop called Thoreauly Antiques. The illustrated hot air balloons were created using an antique page that I also purchased from another lovely lady there...Kari at Thoreauly Antiques. Keri has a lovely blog. Oh yes, what fun to meet a neighbor from the Land of Blog in person. You can meet her at her place here...she calls it Antique Therapy. I found so many wonderful posts that she wrote about French inspiration, like this one she calls French chateau style. Being an antique dealer, Keri has amazing treasures that she sells, here is a post that she wrote about Parisian ephemera.

Oh Karen...you have touched my heart. I am sitting here practically breathless from your sweet "plug" into my blog site, but that FRENCH FLAIR of yours is DIVINE (in our mortel sense of the word, of course!). Where ever did you get that miniature bed? That is the cutest thing I have seen. I have many miniatures, but none to that degree of detail! Your graphics and Frenchc motif for this post are brilliant and isn't there something about the French inspiration that just appeals to us? Bravo to the French for their Savoir Faire...and you have captured it. Thank you for coming to our play; M. Balzac is so pleased that his audience is appreciative; it is not easy rehearsing for a play! Yes, this sort of dog is so endearing. I met up with one in Paris when I was there, and he inspired me to come up with this feisty little character!! God bless you my talented and beautiful friend! Bisous, Anita P.S. Yes, I love Audrey Hepburn...she had the character of an angel and a sweet soul!)
