Finding Beauty

Claudia from Dippity Road is hosting Finding Beauty Friday.

I love sunsets.

Sunset Over Old Silver Beach

Sunsets seem to always remind me that God is near.

winter sunset

I wanted to share a wonderful mind image today.

St. George's Chapel

I was sitting in a nearby church the other day during the week. No one was there except for me and some construction workers building something outside the chapel.

Church organ pipes

I was praying on something that needed urgent care. As I knelt to pray,

stained glass windows

I could hear the noise of construction going on in the background. I sat staring at the altar and listening to the only sound, that of pounding hammers and saws cutting wood.

“Great Is Thy Faithfulness”

All of a sudden I knew just what God was trying to show me.

St. George's Chapel

Although I felt my prayer needed to be answered that minute, He knew what I needed and He was in the background building the necessary walls to my miracle and putting in place the perfect answer to my prayer in His time.

Prayer is the gift that lets our faith shine in the midst of adversity. Prayer is the window into finding the beauty around us.

The song for this post is The Gift.

Hi Karen,
Loved the cigar box creation. That Robin is just so pretty. Another book I will have to be on the lookout for.
Could you send me your address, I thought I had it but can't seem to find it. I think there is an E'mail next to my name on my site on the left. Or maybe you have my E'mail.
All fine here, keeping busy.

I am new to your blog via Dipity Road and also new to the Finding Beauty party.

Your post and photography are powerful. He is always there and it's overwhelming when we realize it.

I love a perfect mason to build our dreams upon. There is nothing like the sounds of carpentry, the smell even of cut wood. Build and dream, right? Thanks for these amazing posts. Robins, papers, books, dreamy, really. Thanks Karen.

That's a wonderful thought, Karen. We can be a titch impatient...we as in humans not as in you and I. I'd never call you impatient. Have a wonderful weekend...hope that there's another wonderful sunset in it for you and I'll be praying about that urgent prayer. God knows.

Wow, that second photo is beautiful!

I can imagine sitting in the church listening to the honest labour of carpentry .. very grass roots, and quite symbolic.

So true Karen! I have often found the answer to questions while talking to God. Many times He has shown me thingws about myself that really help me. The church is so beautiful! I have often thought I would love to go on a tour of all the beautiful churches in the world. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
