Pink Saturday

Pink Snow Overlay Burn

skinny-mini homeworkPink snow...for a Pink Saturday.

sweettreat

skinny-mini homeworkI discovered how to create pink snow thanks to a class I am taking over at Kim Klassen's Cafe.

Lessons in seeing the pink snowShe teaches her workshops on-line, I took the free Skinny-Mini first and then signed up for The Test Kitchen.  It's worth it alone for all the freebie backgrounds, tutorials and notes.  Here is a link to her amazing gallery.

She teaches most videos with tips and shortcuts for a PC,  and Mac.

Kim tells you how to get each effect whether you are using Creative, Photoshop or early versions of Photoshop Elements,
or Photoshop Elements 9.

I use Photoshop Elements 8.  I am amazed at what I can do in Elements whether creating digital paintings

or learning how to use layering for my photography.

I am impressed with pink snow! Is the ability to how awesome caption on photos comes with only photoshop or does it come with photoshop elements too? I just bough PE but have not installed yet. I love the SNOW caption. Did you take an online course or in person? I so love blogs for all the fantastic information that is shared by wonderful people such as yourself. BTW can you give me a few photo blogs parties perhaps?

Me again, so sorry, I am leaving anytime I get this laptop packed and in the car. My hubby will go without me soon. I should not be trying to write comments when I know I should be in the car already, lol. I said, "caption" when I meant "text". Also I checked into Kim's site and bookmarked as a favorite to find later. My passion is photography but until just a few months ago I never had time to learn much. Now I cannot get enough of seeing everyone's fantastic photos, learning what they do, etc etc. hence I have to pack this laptop NOW. Thank you for understanding. I am your newest follower.

I love the pink snow, it looks like spring blooms. Maybe I wouldn't mind winter so much with pink snow. Nope, I'd still hate the cold! Oh well, it sure looks good in your photos:>) Can you believe I don't have photoshop yet? It's on my some day wishlist.

You bring your photos to life with these techniques! And thank you so much for writing to me today and giving me some advice on starting an art journal! I went to Michael's this afternoon and got a book that I'm going to start with! Eventually I want to make a book! I so appreciate that you took the time to write and share your ideas! Hugs! ♥♥♥

Pink snow...I might enjoy another snowstorm if the snow were pink. You know I've never visited Bev for Pink Saturday, though I've certainly enjoyed many bloggers' posts who do participate. Your class sounds like a lot of fun. Of course, you'd love Photoshop Heaven! :D

Oh how fun! I love the easy to use Picnik.com with pictures from my digital camera to do some special effects, but one of these days I really must break down and give Photoshop Elements a try. I have to wonderful photographers in my family who are so skilled at it and it just lets you do so much. Your pictures are gorgeous! Thanks for an inspiring Pink Saturday. :)

Oh Karen, I am so happy that you got the LA PETITE FILLE AU BALLON! She is taking quite her time to get to Canada, but has made it to The Netherlands, England and around our states!!! Thank you always, for your kind comments. Oh today, we had plans to get to IKEA for some last details for our new rooms, but we are expected to get 10 inches of snow...it is blizzard conditions now. BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES OUT THERE AND RUN TO STOP AND SHOP and get your milk and bread!!! MUCH LOVE DEAREST, Anita
