Happy 4th of July on a Pink Saturday

Life's good sailboats

Sailing away in red, white and blue for this Pink Saturday.

Newport, Rhode Island

Bev from How Sweet The Sound is hosting a celebration today.

Today I am inviting you to sail away with me to a glorious place...

Found in daydreams.  So, you pack the picnic, I'll sail the boat...and we won't return until sunset.

My sailboats sailed right into a treasury called Independence Play.  She inspired this post because it made me set sail right into daydreams.

Isn't this a lovely treasury.  Pamela Gladknowki featured so many wonderful Independence Play goodies.  She kindly added my sailboats to her picks.

I'll meet you on Daydream Island...

I spoke with a dear friend of 47 years, on the telephone yesterday. We laughed and talked about all the good times, and the music we listened to, like this oldie, Come Sail Away. What a blessing to have a friend for all these years, and we can peek into yesterday like it just happened.

Did you know that there are over 16,000 sunsets in 47 years? If we were to count our blessings by the sunsets, that's quite an abundance of blessings.

I just updated my sketchbook with some new fun.

Good morning gorgeous!

Oh what fond memories I have spending the fourth at Marblehead with great friends. Boston as well as Maine were amongst our favorite fourth of July celebration spots. Your photos are STUNNING mixing texture and fantasy....you are an artist through and through. AND....your book is in progress. I am revising it a bit thanks to the advice of an editor! SO BALZAC will make his way to you this summer....GOD BLESS YOU DEAREST, Anita

Good Morning Karen Sweetie...
Oh my goodness I am sailing, sailing away today with Karen and all the pinkies. I packed a wonderful lunch, including my famous potato salad and friend chicken. I knew after all this sailing we would all be starving.

Oh how wonderful the breeze feels as it combs through my hair, and I love the feeling of being so free as we glide along the water. I love it that we have the red sail. Red is my favorite color. Oh my gosh, we are in the lead, yippeeee.

Karen my sweet friend, I had forgotten about this song, until today. Thank you for the memory as it was one of my favorites. You can bet it will pop up under my play list real soon as we go sailing away. As always, a beautiful, beautiful share of your love for creation. Thank you sweetie for taking me sailing today.

Have a beautiful 4th of July weekend and a lovely pink, red, white and blue Pink Saturday. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Oh Karen,

It is always so good to get your comments. Thank you for your visit and if anyone is an expert in colour, it would be YOU! A guest at my home the other day was so impressed with your beautiful lavender watercolour you sent me a long time ago...it sits proudly on a shelf in my Provence-inspired "salle de bain."

Happy fourth! Anita
