Baby Shower Inspiration II

I just received my fabric back for the baby shower.  I designed the Baby Shower fabric using the actual invitation.  I love how the ribbons look like they pop off the fabric. A few posts ago I wrote about Baby Shower Inspiration plans.

My plan is to create one of my fabric covered cork board inspiration boards.  Use some pretty blue ribbons and leave note cards for people to tuck on the board.  I'll leave note cards for them to write best wishes for the baby.

Later it might make a pretty addition to the nursery.

I'll be using my Samantha Seahorse fabric design for a table runner, and I have decided to use the invitation fabric for the flower rosettes for the chandelier.  I had the both fabrics printed on Cotton Sateen.  I found the cutest little wooden boats in the same sea green for the table.

Here is a better photo of the Diaper Cake.  There are wonderful "how to" videos on YouTube.

I elected to use one layer made up of blue baby washcloths, and I added baby tub toys along the layers.  I used aqua and blue tulle to create the illusion of icing, and the sea for my little baby toys.

I found the tulle in all kinds of lovely colors in the Wedding department at Michael's.   The Whale terrycloth toy at the top has a little onsie on a hanger in his mouth.  My ribbon is from Michael's Craft shop.

This week I'm working on the banner.  My friend Karen cut them out of sea blue  card stock for me.  I created a template using Samantha Seahorse design and added the baby sea creature images I purchased from Sonya DeHart Designs.  Now I need to assemble them and add ribbon to attach them.

It's hard for me to believe that my little chickadee is expecting her own baby chick.

I'll be posting each time I complete a new Baby Shower project.  Have a lovely day.  Doesn't this music make you feel happy?
