I was born in Queens, New York and grew up on Long Island.

As a young woman I have lived in Brooklyn, Manhattan and worked for many years in the Downtown area.  I have also lived in New Jersey and love the New Jersey shore.

I have felt so saddened by the devastation left from Hurricane Sandy. Especially today, when it is so cold outside.  So many are still without power.  I wanted to find a way to help.

So I created these products and have offered them on Etsy.  All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Relief Fund set up for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

It's a little way to give back.  You know there are so many products on Etsy who are donating part of their sales to the Relief Fund. Here is a link to the gallery of products giving back.

I also have a button on my sidebar if you would prefer to donate directly to the Red Cross Relief Fund for the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Alicia Keys sings about New York so beautifully.

Pat from Mille Fiori Favoiriti writes a beautiful post about the kindness of strangers.  Her blog is gorgeous and she lives in Brooklyn.  Pat's post about what Sandy taught her is well worth reading.

Thank you so much! Your art work is lovely.

Hurricane Sandy devastated so many communities in New York and New Jersey, and they will be in need for many months, maybe years. I'm sure every donation to the red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief will be greatly appreciated.

Hugs,

Pat
