Advent Calendar Day 24 Gift, Christmas Eve

Welcome to the gift of an Advent Calendar.  I have always loved Advent calendars.  When I was little, I just couldn't wait to open each little door and find the surprise waiting there.

This Christmas I have turned my blog into an Advent calendar, so I was able to give you a Christmas surprise every day until Christmas.  Every day I have posted downloadable artwork for you to use as my gift.

It's Christmas Eve and our thoughts are on the Little Lord Jesus away in a manger.  Yet, I often think, what if they had all celebrated the King's arrival.  He would have been adorned with the finest linen and lace. One day I created a canvas in linen and lace and used papers with scripture to create his gown.  A little crown is on His head and tiny jewels are on this collage of love.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father (of Eternity), Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6, Amplified Bible.

My gift for you this Christmas Eve is a print of our little Lord Jesus in a manger I created out of fabric and paper.  This collage is made into an 8" x 8" print for you.  You can print this out on paper or card stock and it will print on an 8.5" x 11" or 8" x 10" paper.

The name of the file is Advent Calendar Day 24, Christmas Eve.

You can download your file here.

Advent Calendar Day 22 Gift

Welcome to the gift of an Advent Calendar.  I have always loved Advent calendars.  When I was little, I just couldn't wait to open each little door and find the surprise waiting there.

This Christmas I am turning my blog into an Advent calendar, so I can give you a Christmas surprise every day until Christmas.  Every day I will post downloadable artwork for you to use as my gift.

Today's gift is about the special gift of giving.  My gift for you is a story, a beautiful song, and a print.

Many years ago when my mother lived out in the Hampton's one Christmas, she was collecting money for a poor family there.  When all of us arrived at the house to celebrate Christmas, we drove to deliver the packages that my mother had for the family.  What happened was a Christmas miracle.  If you would like to read the story, you can find it on my Christmas Blog.  It is a story about The Special Gift of Christmas.

This  is a painting I did of the house where my mother lived during that special Christmas.  I called the painting, My Dear Little House.  I thought you might enjoy it.

Your print will look like this when you download it.
I created a print for you to put on an easel.  The print measures 8" x 8" and is printed on an 8.5 x 11" sheet.  You can download your gift here.  The name of the file is Advent Calendar Gift 22, My Dear Little House.

My Mom, Doris was featured in the South Burlington Free Press newspaper yesterday.  She is 86 years old but still giving.  She collected over 700 pounds of food for the food shelf from the place where she lives.  This article was published in the local newspaper's Facebook page.

Last year she was interviewed by the television station and here is her interview.

My Mother has been collecting food for the food shelf for fifteen years.  She does this all by herself each year, and this year the ladies across the way got together and knitted hats and scarves for the children.  After they picked up the food, she took a taxi and brought the knitted treasures to the food shelf.

My mother has been so instrumental in teaching me about the gift of giving all throughout my life.  I created the print from a painting I did years ago of My Dear Little House.  I hope that the image fills your heart with joy.

Jackie Evancho sings about God's grace surrounding us, and the pledge to do the very best we can to heal the broken hearted, feed the hungry and help the less fortunate in honor of Him.

"Help us do Your will Oh Father,
In the name of all that's true,
And we'll see in one another
The loving image of You."

During the Christmas season, I have created gift tags, Christmas stationery, and all kinds of art for you to use.  It is just three days  until Christmas, and I still have a few more gifts for you.  You can give the art as gifts, decorate your home or use on your Christmas crafts and cards.  If you miss a day, just click on this page, and you can see all the posts and artwork at a glance.

You can also find all of the artwork on my Pinterest Board called An Advent Calendar of Downloadable Artwork.  If you click the artwork that you like, it will lead you back here with the link to the download.

Advent Calendar Gift 19

Welcome to the gift of an Advent Calendar.  I have always loved Advent calendars.  When I was little, I just couldn't wait to open each little door and find the surprise waiting there.

This Christmas I am turning my blog into an Advent calendar, so I can give you a Christmas surprise every day until Christmas.  Every day I will post downloadable artwork for you to use as my gift.

Years ago, I painted a Christmas card for my Mom when we lived in Hong Kong.  I used Asian hand-made papers to create more interest in my watercolor painting for the card.  Later on I had them printed professionally for a Christmas Fair which was held at the Furama Hotel in Hong Kong.

I always liked creating cards that were decorated on the front and back.  I usually put a Christmas card in with some of my Christmas gifts.  So, I thought I would share this for you to use with some of your gifts.

Today's gift is a Christmas note card that you can print and fold to create a 5" x 7" card, decorated on the front and the back.  The name of the file is called Advent Calendar Gift 19, Christmas Card, and you can download the file here.

Your file will look like this when you download it, so that it prints nicely on an 8.5" x 11" card stock paper.  After you have printed it, just trim and fold in half.  Sometimes I punch a hole in the top and add a bit of ribbon for the top of a gift.

During the Christmas season, I will be creating more gift tags, Christmas stationery, and all kinds of art for you to use.  You can give the art as gifts, decorate your home or use on your Christmas crafts and cards.  If you miss a day, just click on this page, and you can see all the posts and artwork at a glance.

One of my favorite people Vee, from A Haven for Vee is hosting her monthly note card party.  I will be linking this post as my December gift.  This note card gift is in honor of lovely Vee.

Advent Calendar Day 18 Gift

Welcome to the gift of an Advent Calendar.  I have always loved Advent calendars.  When I was little, I just couldn't wait to open each little door and find the surprise waiting there.

This Christmas I am turning my blog into an Advent calendar, so I can give you a Christmas surprise every day until Christmas.  Every day I will post downloadable artwork for you to use as my gift.
To remind us of the Children singing in heaven today, I chose a song by Jackie Evancho to serenade our post.

There is nothing as mindful of the season as snow falling at night.  One evening I took a ride to see the Christmas lights by one of the nearby lakes.  At the end of the block facing the lake, a gazebo was lit for the Holidays.

A Christmas tree was inside, as if some little guests might arrive any minute. Snow was gently falling creating that beautiful silence that only snow can make.  The scene was too beautiful not to capture and bring home to share.

Today's gift is a print for you of the Merry Christmas Gazebo scene.  The name of the file is called Advent Gift Day 18, Merry Christmas Gazebo, and you can download the file here.

I thought you might need some more large tags to decorate your packages.  The name of the file is called Advent Gift Day 18, Merry Christmas Gazebo tags, and you can download the file here.

Christmas Advent Calendar Gift 14

Welcome to the gift of an Advent Calendar.  I have always loved Advent calendars.  When I was little, I just couldn't wait to open each little door and find the surprise waiting there.

Today's gift is about writing a Christmas letter.

I have designed some writing paper for you.  You can print these sheets and hand write them, or type something on your computer and print it out on this paper.

I have created Christmas wreath writing paper, which will print nicely on an 8.5" x 11" sheet.

The name of the file is called Advent Gift Day 14, Christmas Wreath Writing Paper, and you can download the file here.  I don't write the long version of Christmas letters, just a note to slip into a card or two.
