Pink Saturday

DSC06065

DSC03396Early Friday morning I called Ink About It and asked if they had gotten the latest Artful Blogging magazine yet. Linda said no, but that they had been billed already, and the UPS man was due to arrive around 11 AM. She said that she would call me if it arrived and put one aside for me.

DSC03396A little after 11 AM she called and said she was putting my copy aside. I drove there wondering if my little watercolor had made it into the article about Bev and her amazing Pink Saturday. Bev had been interviewed by Jennifer Jackson for an article in the Summer 2010 issue.

DSC06068

DSC03396Bev submitted lots of Pink Saturday submissions, but knew that it was up to the magazine to choose which ones would make the issue. This is my 98th Pink Saturday post and well, I just love Pink Saturday and Miss Bev.

Artful Blogging Magazine

DSC03396She will be posting about it today, so make sure that you stop by How Sweet The Sound and read all about it.

DSC03396When I got to Ink About it, there were many people taking a class and my copy was behind the counter. I carefully leafed through the magazine.

Artful blogging summer

DSC03396There it was...my little Secret Garden watercolor. I squealed and let out a "yay." Completely forgetting about the class going on, and then Karen walked into the shop and said "Are you in there?" I squealed "Yes", and then she squealed too.

PINK SATURDAY

DSC03396Well, I am thrilled. Artful Blogging magazine has been my favorite magazine since the first issue. I remember squealing while standing at the mailbox the day my first copy had arrived. I own every issue, and this one is Over The Rainbow!

My creation

DSC03396The song for this post is Over The Rainbow.

Dear Bev

DSC03396In keeping with the Pink Saturday tradition, I have never met Glennis Waterman from Doves2Day before. I see in the article that her photograph was chosen for the article too. What's that Glennis, did you squeal too? The article is wonderful and the interview is perfect. There are lots of Pink Saturday photographs and artwork to enjoy. Wishing you a very Happy Pink Saturday and Rainbow Wishes.

Congratulations!

I submitted photos for Beverly, but, LOL, I guess they didn't like them. LOL I also sent in photos for Gabriela - we'll see if they liked those any better LOL.

I tried to get one at Michael's and Joann's today - but neither had it yet.

Again, for a well-deserved inclusion!

Good morning my sweet Karen! CONGRATULATIONS on this achievement! You are great!!!!! And I thank you always for providing me with the hints and the encouragement to pursue my endeavors....I submitted my ideas as you encouraged me to do so to Somerset. I haven't heard anything, but I probably didn't contact the right people.

This is fabulous, Karen! MERCI! Anita

Oh, Karen. I am so excited and happy for all of the Pink Saturday participants. It is each and every one of you that make Pink Saturday so very special.

And, I am absolutely in love with this post. I really wanted to post more, but I had been told the release date wasn't until May first. I have been calling the store here, but they haven't received this issue yet.

Thank you so much for making and sharing this joyful event. It is a special time for all of us.

Congrats, Karen..

I'm late with my PS post for today so visit me later if you like. Thomas had hernia surgery this week and it threw me off schedule.

Since I have to mail order my Artful Blogging issue I'm glad that you received yours and showed the photo credits...I was among the submissions but did not make according to the photo credits. [sigh]....but I am so tickled for you and Beverly and all the others that did make it into this issue. ♥

Thanks for sharing...

That's very kind of you Karen. Please send to this address

I love the layout of your blog it is so colourful and interesting - I must get around to rearranging mine which is very static but I've not been doing it very long. I started it simply to show off my artwork but, like Topsy it has just "growed".
Nice to meet you too - blogging is great isn't it when you can meet like minded people from all over the world.
Thanks again.

Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for the prayers and quick healing for my Thomas. He's really stiff today and still a lot of pain...it's been 40 years since he's had any kind of surgery so he was thinking of [super quick recovery] as if he's still 20 years old..LOL Bless his heart.♥

And I so appreciate your kind supportive words about my design...I do have a passion which is yet to be totally defined..I guess it will be a progression through life to let it unfold...and that is what makes designing such fun..it's so true that the brain locks into a certain mode when the creative soul needs to come out to play. ♥

Have a wonderful day...

Hugs,
Stephanie ♥
